God Speaks

My husband and I love to go junking. I have a list of items that I would like to purchase for our home and I am always looking for them. I'm cheap so I may find the item but not willing to pay that amount for it. I have wanted an antique telephone for about six years. You know the one you seen in the old Lassie shows. It hangs on the wall its wooden you crank it and it has the mouth piece attached to the wall unit and you pick up the ear piece looks like a cone. Well these phones in good shape are around $200 to $300, depending on the condition of the phone. About a month ago we were out junking for the day the first place we stopped at had a collection of these phones for sale. I would normally run over see how much they are but this time I just thought nope I'm marking that off my want list. Immediately the Lord showed me why I had put that phone on my list. I could see the day I stood in a girlfriends home looking at her's, I begin to covet her phone. When I seen that standing there I repented. I never looked to see how much the phones cost, we left and drove down the road to the next stop. We are inside this shop and everything is priced but one item you guessed it this antique phone. It was sitting in a chair really out of place. I looked at it there was no price really not with an interest to buy it because I was over it. It didn't have a price tag on it so I asked the owner how much. She walked over and said well, I know that I put a price on the phone and she just couldn't find it. She looked at me very strange and said you can have it for $50. I said, I'll take it. I laughed as we left the store and shared what had just happened with my husband. I am going to hang the phone in our barn room which is a guest retreat on our place. I'm going to hang a sign by it that says God Speaks "Repent". God is so good all the time. He just loves us so much. He is a good Father.

This year one of my main goals is to take better care of my body. I have just discovered this year the reason I haven't is because I just didn't know how valuable I was in God's eyes. This truly came as a surpise to me. So in the process I am renewing my mind with the word of God of what he says about this temple. It is His dwelling place and I want it to bring glory to Him. I am reading Look Great Feel Great by: Joyce Meyer. The following is from her book, it will give you something to think about.

Successful lives are made of successful days. Look how far you've come. Envision the life you want and what can you do today just today to get one step closer to that life.

I want to be healthy to have the energy to do whatever God calls me to do at any moment. He is willinging to help me, if I will let him. As I choose to do what is right and lean on Him to give me strength His power will enable me to follow through and experience victory. I am so thankful that God loves me unconditional and He has a great plan for my life. I am so thankful that He has never left me or forsaken me. I hope you know how much He loves you.
